Queer as Folk" wins hottest gay couple!

We asked -- and you told us!

Two weeks ago, Gay.com opened up its message boards and invited you to suggest which gay male TV couple was your favorite. We compiled your suggestions and opened up the polls for a week -- and now the results are in!

Brian and Justin (played by Gale Harold and Randy Harrison) from "Queer as Folk" won in a landslide, taking in 35 percent of the Gay.com Gay Vote.

But that wasn't enough for you "QAF" fans. The show also gave us the second-place male couple, with Michael and Ben (Hal Sparks and Robert Gant) taking in 22 percent. Keith and David (Mathew St. Patrick and Michael C. Hall) from "Six Feet Under" tied for third place with Will and Vince (Eric McCormack and Bobby Cannavale) from "Will & Grace," both pulling in 11 percent of the vote. Coming in dead last were Kyle and Aaron Sean Maguire and Cristian de la Fuente) from "The Class."

"Queer as Folk" executive producers Ron Cowen and Daniel Lipman told Gay.com, "We're very honored and very appreciative of the voters' affection for Brian and Justin and Michael and Ben. They're two very different kinds of couples. That open-mindedness, that respect for all life choices, is our greatest strength."

Richard Kravitz from TV Gay Guide agrees. "The fact Justin and Brian and Michael and Ben placed so high with gay voters speaks volumes of the impact the show has had on the gay community," he said. "'Queer as Folk' was unique in its unflinching look at the gay community. More important, this poll shows me that viewers still really miss the show and the characters."
