While Brian seduces a new client in more ways than one, Justin confides with his best friend Daphne. The boy tells her that he had sex for the first time and that it was with a man, and Daphne surprises him by saying that she’d always known he was gay.
Meantime, Michael is struggling to accept an invitation to join a few colleagues on a night out because he doesn’t think he can maintain the fiction of being straight with them. Plus, Tracy, a girl who works at the Big Q with him, has a crush on Michael and he doesn’t know how to deal with it.
Brian convinces him to attend, driving Michael to the pub, and then goes to see Melanie and Lindsay: the couple wants Brian to sign life insurance papers in favor of his son with a one million dollar premium.
Brian is offended by the suggestion that his lifestyle might put him at risk and so, after storming out of the girls’ house, he crashes Michael’s night and takes his friend with him to Woody’s.
There the two meet with Ted and Emmett, and are also joined by Justin. Brian ends up telling a story about how he almost had sex with Michael when they were teenagers and then leaves the bar.
Michael decides to take Justin to the diner to convince him to leave Brian alone, and there the boy meets Debbie, Michael’s mother, for the first time.
Not listening to Michael’s advice, Justin goes back to Brian’s loft but he finds him with another man, a guy Brian met online. Hurt, Justin runs away but Brian stops him and explains in no uncertain terms that he doesn’t believe in love. Crying, Justin gets in his car and drives away leaving a barefoot Brian standing in the street staring after him.
